APPS

useful Apps and Websites.

Apps and websites are a great way to stay up to date with current technology and trends, as well as being a quick and easy way to pay for charging or monitor charge amounts.

Charging networks like Pod Point, Ecotricity, Tesla and Ionity are spread across the UK in popular locations such as service stations and super markets. Having their Apps set up and ready to go before long trips will save lots of anxiety when turning up for a quick charge, especially with adding payment cards etc.

Your EV manufacturer will also likely have a smartphone App, these offer some fantastic extras like remote locking, heating, trip and usage details and some like Tesla will even help you bring your car out of the garage whilst sipping your tea in the kitchen.

EV- Database

“A comprehensive overview of all electric vehicles in the UK”

This fantastic website will tell you everything you need to know about each make and model of EV, including max charging capacity and max charging input power.

Our only criticism is that the website doesn’t always list all historical models of EV.

Zap Map

A great App for mapping routes and highlighting available chargers, the website is helpful and super informative too.

Our vehicles have picked up different chargers than Zap Map so it is worth double checking both options.

Plug Share

Similar to Zap Map, Plug Share has an expansive map of all available chargers around the world.

Plug Share is excellent and provides more extensive and accurate data per charger, including check-ins, nearby locations, detailed address details and images.

Pod Point

A must have for charging on the go. Pod Point have a national network of public chargers, so having this APP set up and ready to go will save you time when you’re ready to turn up and charge.

We have also noticed some free “plug and play” Pod Point chargers in locations with poor or no 3/4G signal.
